Dutch national fundraising campaign for the Philippines
The Metropole Orkest supports the Dutch national fundraising campaign for the Philippines.
The orchestra’s staff and musicians are, as are so many around the world, emotionally affected by the news and images of the devastation typhoon Haiyan left behind in the Philippines. After a national fundraising campaign was announced it became clear the Metropole Orkest should do its part asking people to donate to the cause.
In the final hour of the campaign’s television broadcast the Metropole Orkest and singer/actress Cystine Carreon (who was born in the Philippines) perform the popular Philippine song ‘Anak’, as their joint request for the public to donate.
You can donate by going to geef-nu.giro555.nl (Dutch residents) or directly to the Philippine Red Cross: www.redcross.org.ph/donate.
