Revenue new single ‘Beirut’ to Giro 555
On Friday 14 August at the fundraiser ‘Actiedag voor Beiroet’, the Metropole Orkest Cellos played their version (arranged by Emile Visser) of ‘Beirut’, a composition by the Lebanese/French trumpet player Ibrahim Maalouf. The beautiful music is now available on various platforms such as iTunes and Spotify. Support Giro 555 by downloading or streaming the song. All our proceeds go to the collaborating Dutch non-profits relief organisations for emergency aid to the residents of the affected city.

The four cellists of the Metropole Orkest (Joel Siepmann, Emile Visser, Jascha Albracht en Annie Tångberg) prove how versatile a cello can really be. The quartet combines a broad musical taste and knowledge with a good dose of creativity and improvisation. The MO Cellos are specialists in crossover and play classics from dance, pop and light classical music in a self-composed program. The Metropole Orkest Cellos will play 2 concerts in Hilversum on 4 September. See our agenda for more information.
