Hola Cuba! Metropole Orkest continues world tour
After the success of the livestream concert in Brazilian atmospheres, the Metropole Orchestra continues its world tour to Cuba. Together with NPO Radio 2 Soul & Jazz, the Metropole Orchestra is organizing an evening full of Cuban music, again largely composed from the orchestra’s flowery archive. This special, free live stream concert can be seen on Friday evening March 26 at 8.30 pm.
Soloists of the night are singer Yma América, pianist Rámon Valle, singer Nando Vanin and saxophonist Felipe Castro, assisted by percussionists Juan Villoria (congas) and Marco Toro (bongos). They will play compositions by, among others, Armando Romeu, Ernesto Duarte, Miguel Matamoros, Paquito D’Rivera, Israel ‘Cachao’ López and Amador Pérez Torres, arranged by Vince Mendoza, Chico O’Farrill, Kevin Halporn, Jurre Haanstra and Marc Bischoff. Top quality in all layers, conducted by Jochen Neuffer.
Don’t miss out! A bailar, a gozar!
