The Score wins Dutch Game Award for Best Innovation
As part of the Games in Concert series, The Score by Smartphone Orchestra has won the Dutch Game Award in the category Best Innovation. The jury praised the innovative approach, stating: “A reinvention of how to experience a classical music concert. Not just for the audience, but for the musicians as well! A unique experience for both, because no version of The Score will ever be the same. We can see this experience going international and drawing a new type of audience into concert halls.”
In The Score, the audience plays a specially designed game, with their scores determining what the orchestra plays. This results in an entirely new and sometimes hilarious concert experience, where the audience and orchestra collaborate to bring the music to life.
Want to experience this for yourself? In December, Games in Concert will be performed four more times across the country, with performances that once again push the boundaries between games and music in a unique way. Click here for more information.
