Altin Gün, band
Jochen Neuffer, dirigent
This fall, Metropole Orkest and Altın Gün will meet on the stage of Koninklijk Theater Carré. The leading pop and jazz orchestra and the Turkisch-Amsterdam band will take you on a journey full of irresistible psychedelic Turkish disco vibes. A unique experience!
Altın Gün was nominated for a Grammy, became a worldwide sensation, was invited to pop festival Coachella and will be at Fuji Rock in Japan. It once started in Istanbul, where bass player Jasper Verhulst expanded his music collection with retro-Anatolian records. Bands like The Doors and Led Zeppelin inspired Turkish musicians. Years later, Altın Gün gives a new and unique twist to this music.
Altın Gün means something like ‘Golden Day’, which the six are now experiencing themselves.
And one thing’s for sure, it will be two golden days at Carré with Altın Gün and Metropole Orkest. A very special combinations that will guarantee a wonderful musical journey.
