Metropole Studio Sessions: World Tour – Brazil

These weird times don’t stop Metropole Orkest from going on a world tour. Not literally, of course, but in their own studio in Hilversum. In collaboration with NPO Radio 2 Soul & Jazz, Metropole Orkest presents the ‘Metropole Studio Sessions: World Tour’. The first destination is Brazil. Together with Maria Mendes, Lucas Santana, Gabriel Milliet, Lílian Vieira and conducted by Magnus Lindgren, the orchestra enters the stage on Friday March 12 8.30 PM (CET) for this special, free livestream concert.

The program of the ‘Metropole Studio Sessions: World Tour – Brazil’ is compiled from the Brazilian archives of the Metropole Orkest. A musical fruit basket full of Sambas, Choros and other beautiful things. Compositions by Antônio Carlos Jobim, Pixinguinha, Edu Lobo, Zequinha de Abreu, Chico César and Caetana Veloso, arranged by the best Brazilian arrangers.
Add the musical trapeze work of singer Maria Mendes, the sultry saxophone of Lucas Santana and the typical Brazilian vocals of Gabriel Milliet and Lílian Vieira and a great night is guaranteed.
