VriendenLoterij Zomerconcerten: Nick & Simon & Garfunkel

Together with the Metropole Orkest, Nick & Simon play the most beautiful classics by and inspired by Simon & Garfunkel. A wonderful start to the VriendenLoterij ZomerConcerten 2022.

In 2020 Nick & Simon went on their highly watched pilgrimage ‘Homeward Bound’. In this successful TV series, they traveled through the Americaa of the duo Simon & Garfunkel, whom they admire. The search also yielded piles of material for the Dutch-language album NSG. This album has since been awarded with gold. Together with the Metropole Orkest, Nick & Simon will play the most beautiful classics by and inspired by Simon & Garfunkel.

In 1970 the album ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ was released by the legendary duo Simon & Garfunkel. Fifty years later, Nick & Simon traveled to New York to find out where and how the American duo started. With success: “It sounds really good, it sounds like us,” Paul Simon himself reported in a video message. To sound like Simon & Garfunkel on the album, the duo followed their exact method. In the Algemeen Dagblad Nick said: “For example, against our custom, Simon and I had to record our parts simultaneously.”
