Sophie Hunger is a renowned singer, multi-instrumentalist, and film composer who continuously reinvents and challenges her musical career. Her latest album, ‘Halluzinationen’, recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, showcases her ongoing evolution. Recorded in continuous live takes, the album embodies a raw and nervous energy that is characteristic of Hunger’s work.

Growing up in Switzerland and England, Hunger is fluent in multiple languages, giving her music a unique versatility. Her album ‘Monday’s Ghost’ from 2008 was praised by The Guardian as a combination of the best of Laura Marling, Beth Orton, and Björk. On the album ‘Molecules’, produced by Dan Carey, electronic instruments and many synthesizers are predominantly used. This was described as a ‘fresh start’. In 2020, Sophie Hunger collaborated with Carey again and released the highly acclaimed album ‘Halluzinationen’ featuring the single ‘Alpha Venom’.

In an exciting new collaboration, Sophie Hunger will soon share the stage with the Metropole Orkest, an international orchestra known for its genre-crossing projects. These concerts promise to be a special and unique musical experience, where Hunger’s intimate songwriting and the rich sound of the orchestra perfectly complement each other.
